This 7" blade is made from used industrial bandsaw steel from a sawmill. It is Uddenholm 15n20 steel and is produced in Sweden, and is world renowned for its edge holding ability and toughness. The blade geometry is composed of a hollow grind on the right side of the blade, while the left side has the fine single secondary bevel. This produces an extremely sharp blade that cuts very cleanly, while offering good food release for right handed users. Sharpening of this blade consists of only taking the side with secondary bevel to the stone, while stroping both sides.
The handle is full tang with scrap black walnut from a furniture maker, and 1/8" brass pins made from brazing rod.
