1 and 3/4 pound head hand forged from scrap chromoly steel forklift fork. The blade is heat treated to 52 Rockwell hardness for a good balance of edge retention and toughness.
 
17' ergonomic handle turned from hickory with a black walnut wedge.  Scortched and soaked with boiled linseed oil to improve longevity.
