3 and 3/4” long blade, 7 and 3/4” long overall.
The blade is hand forged from a high carbon leaf spring for great durability and good edge holding ability, and carefully heat treated to further refine and crystallize these properties. It is flat ground with a very small convex secondary bevel to create a keen yet structurally robust cutting edge. It is etched with ferric chloride and mustard to help prevent oxidation.
The bolster and pommel are made from wrought iron wagon tire with a course grain structure as seen in the pictures.
The handle is hand carved into a comfortable, secure, and versatile shape from white oak that is scortched and soaked over night in teak oil.
The overall construction is a full through tang that is threaded at the end to cinch the handle and hardware together securely with a nut and high strength epoxy. This creates a particularly strong and durable handle without being overly heavy.
