Based off of knives found in burials from the early Iron Age (500-12 B.C.) and used by Celtic and Germanic tribes living in central Europe.
 
3 1/2" blade and 4" handle forged from one piece of O1 drill rod.  An all around work knife that could be used as an every day carry or  hung on your wall for opening packages and other domestic uses.
 
Please note that the knife you order will very closely resemble these dimensions and appearances, but not exactly.  Each one is forged and ground to shap by hand, so each knife has its unique characteristics. 
 
*high carbon steel is prone to oxidation and requires simple care to maintain a protective patina.  hand wash and dry immediately - never use a dish washer.  Very humid environments might require an occasional thin coating of your preferred oil.
