1 3/4 pound axe head, hand forged from scrap chromoly forklift fork with an early Iron Age inspired profile. Heat treated to 52 Rockwell hardness for a nice balance of durability and edge retention. The bevel is flat ground to a fine edge that is well suited for precision work.
17" ergonomic hickory handle with black walnut wedge, scortched, and soaked in boilded linseen oil.
Great for camping, bushcraft, and light forrestry work. I.E.: making kindling, limbing branches, felling small trees, carving, driving tent steaks, and splitting logs under 10" in diameter.
Comes with a simple kydex edge protector.
